Seefeld is situated on a sunny plateau, connecting to the largest nature reserve in middle Europe the "Alpenpark Karwendel" but also surrounded by the "Wetterstein" Mountains. Despite these mountains, Seefeld gives you still that "great to be alive" feeling ! For outdoor people the Seefelder Plateau, wo made its name by the Olympic Wintergames, has a lot to offer in winter, but as well in spring, summer or autumn time.

Seefeld has a pedestrian zone where you can find all the shops, restaurants, café's, bars, Casino and as well the "OlympiaCenter". This is a great centre with an indoor / outdoor swimmingpool, sauna, solarium and you can even go here to watch one of the newest movies. In the wintertime you can find at the "OlympiaCenter" an ice-skating rank or you can play a game of "eisstockschiessen" / Curling.

Seefeld in Tirol is easy to reach by car, train, plane but from here you can visit other areas as easy as well. It is only 25km from Innsbruck, which is famous for the "Altstadt" with the Golden Roof and as Host City for the Olympic Games. Innsbruck Airport is 20km from Seefeld.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany is just 35km from Seefeld and if you would like to go to Munich, this is a 125 km drive from Seefeld (150 km Munich Airport) or you can go by Express Train.

Are you thinking of heading down south, the Brenner Pass (Italy) is just 35km from Innsbruck and from there are many Italian Villages which are easy to explore in daytrips from Seefeld in Tirol.
